The Goyert Lab focuses on immunological mechanisms of disease, including the role of innate immune receptors in neurodegenerative diseases, the identification and functional role of interactions between innate immune receptors and endogenous ligands, and studies of innate immune receptors in severe infection and septic shock. Recently, Dr. Goyert’s research has collaborated with MSKCC to identify distinct immune markers in African American lung cancer patients, as determined by genomic DNA analysis.
