The CUNY School of Medicine supports a wide range of student organizations and extra-curricular opportunities for students. The Office of Student Affairs, with the assistance of faculty and staff across the school, provides leadership opportunities for students to develop necessary for their future careers. These organizations enrich students’ experiences by providing networking and learning opportunities, community building, mentorship, community service and engagement, and much more. 

The opportunities overseen by the CUNY School of Medicine include:

  • Sophie Davis Student Government
  • Clubs
  • Specialty Interest Groups
  • Medical Honor Societies
  • Cultural and Wellness initiatives (such as Brothers, M.D. and the Wellness Committee)

Students are also able to take advantage of the wide range of opportunities available to them through the City College Office of Student Life, especially as undergraduates, where they can join and start clubs throughout the undergraduate phase of the curriculum and participate in any events on campus.
