The Sophie Davis Student Government (SDSG) is the voice of the student body in the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at City College and at the CUNY School of Medicine. Elected by their peers, student government members work to represent and advocate for the needs and concerns of all students in the combined BS/MD program. The President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and two Senators who serve in Student Government serve as the official link between students, faculty, and administration, holding regular meetings to discuss issues that matter to the student community. Twice a semester SDSG leaders also meet with the School’s Deans to have open conversations about school-wide matters. Beyond advocacy, the Student Government supports student life by funding and sponsoring a variety of clubs, events, and initiatives.
