The Mano Lab investigates molecular mechanisms of neuronal damage and neuroprotective signaling during excitotoxicity and brain ischemia. Using the nematode C. elegans as a model, the lab studies neuronal communication and synaptic clearance in circuits involving glutamate neurotransmission.
