Letters of Good Standing

A letter of good academic standing can be required by away/extramural elective programs or various programs to verify that you are an enrolled student at the CUNY School of Medicine and in good standing. A student in good academic standing is defined as someone not currently on academic probation.

Please submit your request for a letter of good standing to studentaffairs-csom@med.cuny.edu with information about where the letter needs to be sent.

Please put in the subject of your email:

Letter of Good Standing Request – Student Name – Date needed.

Please allow 5 business days for completion.

Letters of Recommendation for Special Programs

If you need a letter of recommendation for a scholarship, award, or other special program such as a research experience, summer program, or otherwise, that requires a letter of recommendation from the school or from the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, please submit the form below with additional documents requested to studentaffairs-csom@med.cuny.edu.

If the recommender has to upload the document directly, please have the link to submit the letter sent to studentaffairs-csom@med.cuny.edu.

Please review all necessary documents and materials for OSA staff to submit a letter on our behalf.
