Accelerated 7-Year BS/MD Program
Our accelerated seven-year BS/MD program is designed for students committed to strengthening healthcare delivery and providing high-quality care in communities where it is most needed. Through the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, students earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biomedical science in three years, and are then eligible to transition into our four-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, without taking the MCAT as a barrier to entry.
Mission-Driven Medical Education
Beginning in the undergraduate curriculum, students engage in a scientifically rigorous, community-focused program that integrates biomedical education with research examining variation in health outcomes and healthcare delivery across neighborhoods in and around New York City. Over seven years, the program emphasizes social responsibility, primary care, and health equity, preparing graduates to serve as skilled, compassionate physicians in communities that need them most—and indeed, where many of them come from.
What Sets CUNY Medicine Apart?
