The Gottlieb Lab focuses on viral structure and assembly, utilizing cryo-electron microscopy facilities, including the New York Structural Biology Center, Marshak Microscopy Facility, and the Advanced Science Research Center of the CUNY Graduate Center. Dr. Gottlieb’s research primarily describes the replication and assembly mechanisms of Cystoviridae (bacterial reoviruses) and has expanded to include human respiratory viruses, such as adenovirus.
