LCME Accreditation

In June 2023, The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY Medicine) at The City University of New York was granted full accreditation. Dean Carmen Renée Green, MD, proudly shared this achievement with the entire CUNY Medicine community saying, “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the accreditation process, as this is truly a team effort. I thank every individual who provided guidance to our team during each stage of the accreditation process and express my gratitude to the dedicated faculty, staff, students, clinical partners, donors, and alumni for their support.”

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accredits all new and existing medical education programs in the U.S. and Canada. It is jointly sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges and the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.
