The Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at the CUNY School of Medicine is one of the most distinctive medical education tracks in the U.S., offering a seamless, accelerated path from college to medical school.

Designed for high-achieving high school graduates from a wide range of backgrounds, this combined BS/MD program prepares students to become compassionate, skilled, and professionally responsible physicians, with a strong orientation toward practicing medicine in communities facing healthcare provider shortages.

  • Integrated Curriculum: Students earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Sciences in the first three years of study.

  • Both degrees are conferred by The City College of New York.
  • Specialized Curriculum: A unique blend of biomedical education, clinical exposure, and public health principles tailored to primary care.
  • Clinical Training: Hands-on experience with top NYC hospitals including St. Barnabas, Harlem Hospital, Staten Island University Hospital, Jacobi/North Central Bronx, and Kings County.
