Transforming Health Through Research
The research enterprise is central to our mission of advancing health and improving healthcare for communities with limited resources. Faculty and students conduct groundbreaking research across biomedical, clinical, and community-based domains to address the most critical health challenges of today.

Research Starts Here
Students pursuing our accelerated three-year Sophie Davis BS in biomedical education begin research on day one, and that commitment carries through the four-year MD program. Throughout their journey at CUNY Medicine, students hone their research interests and advance their skills.
With extensive connections to hospitals and research centers across New York City, as well as a broad portfolio of research opportunities and scholarships, CUNY Medicine supports student inquiry locally, nationally, and worldwide.
