Information Session
The Physician Assistant Program Information Session provides potential applicants with an overview of the PA program and admission requirements. The session usually takes place on campus or online and is led by program faculty and staff.
The session usually begins with a brief introduction of the PA profession, including its history. This is followed by an overview of the PA program’s mission and course requirements. The admission requirements for the program are also covered in detail during the information session. This includes information about the prerequisite courses, minimum GPA, standardized tests, and other requirements, such as work experience or volunteer hours. The faculty or staff will also discuss the application process, including important deadlines, required documents, and tips for submitting a strong application.
Attendees are usually given the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session, and there may be a Q&A session at the end.
In summary, a PA Program Information Session provides potential applicants with a comprehensive understanding of the program’s structure and admission requirements. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the profession and to determine if the program is a good fit for their career goals.
